Words have tremendous power. You can actually change someone by the way you speak to them. A pleasant, kind word is like honey ….. sweet to the soul and healthy to the body. A harsh, critical word can do damage and cause a person to shut down. Think before you speak …..  is it

The Antidote For Fear

Fear of what might happen is one of the devil’s most powerful weapons! With so many tragedies happening around us ….. it’s easy to fall for his tactics. The antidote for fear is ‘faith’! Peter the disciple was able to walk on water during a storm when he kept his eyes on Jesus ….. but the moment he looked at the waves ….. he started to go under. Jesus caught him and said, ‘You of little faith! Why did you doubt?’ Jesus is the same yesterday ….. today ….. and forevermore. Yes ….. there will be more storms! But the same Jesus will be there to walk you through it ….. and to catch you if your faith weakens. The way forward is to focus on His power over the circumstances ….. not the circumstances themselves!

Go With The Flow?

Is your philosophy on life to ‘go with the flow’? It sounds good ….. but whose flow are you going with? Are you just letting life take you wherever it chooses? Are you flowing with friends ….. things you read in the media ….. stuff you watch on tv? The only ‘flow’ you can rely on is the flow of God’s Spirit. He will guide you through life and lead you to your destiny with wisdom. He will give you the strength to keep going when things get tough ….. and He will keep you refreshed when you get weary.

The Path Of Life

The path of life is rarely a straight line. There are many twists and turns along the way. Sometimes we get impatient because we just want to get to our destination. But God is never in a hurry ….. and He has much to teach us along the way. Main highways may be direct and fast but the country lanes are far more scenic. So ….. enjoy the ride ….. you never know what’s around the next bend!
