I love kids’ imaginations! A Pirate’s Brig is the part of a ship where prisoners are kept. However ….. in the eyes of these two ….. it’s an ice cream shop! If only we adults could turn situations that imprison and confine us into a place of sweetness and joy! There’s a story in the Bible about Paul and Silas being beaten and put in prison because of their faith in Jesus. They saw it as an opportunity to worship God by singing songs of praise ….. and at the same time ….. they were able to witness to the other prisoners. God’s response was to shake the prison until all the locks and chains were loosed! Next time you feel confined ….. look for the ice cream!
